As 2022 winds down, we look to 2023 and the opportunities that await to create positive change in our communities. We invite you and your family to join Gigi Project and Yogamazia for a day of positive action in honor of Martin Luther King on Monday, January 16th, between 3-6 pm. We will pack between 500-1,000 snack bags for those who need a healthy snack between meals and experiencing hardship, and Caring for Friends, will deliver the snack bags to seniors, kids, or adults in the 5-county Philadelphia region. Please consider participating in this engaging service activity project hosted by Yogamazia, a local studio empowering kids to learn and love yoga.
We look forward to getting into some good work together. Don't forget to including your children in your 2023 philanthropic plans.

SNACK BAG PREPARATION
On Monday, January 16th, at 3 pm, we will start setting up for the Snack Bag Assembly Event (setting up tables, opening boxes, breaking down boxes, etc.). Yogamazia has graciously allowed us access to use their facility. We intend to have enough supplies for 1,000 snack bags. We will start cleaning up as soon as they are all packed. The setup, packing, and clean-up may only last part of the 3 hours, depending on how many people attend the event. It is better to come closer to 3 pm if you want to guarantee volunteer time.
ENCOURAGING CARDS
We will also be making encouraging cards to include in the Snack Bags, so there will be a separate table for those to color & write special notes.
Please sign up so we know how many people are coming. Also, we will need a volunteer to bring these completed snack bags to the Caring for Friends warehouse in Philadelphia within the week after the event.
Snack Bags will be distributed by the non-profit - Caring for Friends - which provides food and friendship to homebound seniors and disabled, homeless, and families with children in need in the 5-county Philadelphia region. Bucks County makes up a large percentage of its distribution.
Snack Bags are clear, plastic bags filled with nutritious, nonperishable items, such as a protein bar, oatmeal and fruit pouch. They are valuable as the snacks help people that need them to get through the day between meals. The caring messages are meaningful too.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITY WHO ARE IN NEED!
